Add Swaddl to your home screen.
One tap to open, full-screen, no browser bar. Works the same on iPhone, Android, and desktop — and there's nothing to download from the App Store.
iPhone & iPad
In Safari, use the share sheet.
iPhone and iPad can only install web apps from Safari — Chrome, Firefox, and other iOS browsers don't have this feature (Apple's restriction). Open swaddl.co in Safari first.
- 1
Tap the Share button in the toolbar
It looks like a square with an arrow pointing up . On iPhone it's usually at the bottom; on iPad, top-right.
- 2
Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen
The Share menu has a row of icons, then a long scrollable list. Add to Home Screenis partway down the list — keep scrolling if you don't see it.
- 3
Don't see Add to Home Screen?
Scroll all the way to the bottom of the Share menu and tap Edit Actions. Find Add to Home Screen in the list and tap the green next to it, then Done. It'll now appear in your Share menu permanently.
- 4
Tap Add
iOS shows a preview with the Swaddl icon and name. Tap Add in the top-right. The icon now lives on your home screen — tap it any time to launch Swaddl full-screen.
Android
In Chrome, use the menu.
Works in Chrome, Edge, Brave, and Samsung Internet. The exact wording differs slightly between browsers — the steps below are for Chrome (the most common).
- 1
Tap the menu in Chrome
Three vertical dots in the top-right corner.
- 2
Tap Install app or Add to Home screen
Chrome may show Install app — tap that. Older versions show Add to Home screen; either works.
- 3
Confirm Install
Chrome shows a confirmation card with the Swaddl icon. Tap Install. The icon goes to your home screen and Swaddl runs in its own window from that point on.
Desktop
In Chrome or Edge, use the install icon.
Mac, Windows, and Linux all work — installed Swaddl runs as its own app window with no browser tabs or address bar, just like Slack or Notion.
- 1
Look for the install icon in the URL bar
When you're on swaddl.co, Chrome and Edge show a small install icon (a monitor with a downward arrow) on the right side of the address bar. Click it.
- 2
Or use the menu
If you don't see the icon, click the three-dot menu in the top-right. Look for Install Swaddl or Cast, save, and share → Install page as app.
- 3
Click Install
A confirmation pops up. Click Install. Swaddl gets a Dock icon (Mac) or Start menu / taskbar entry (Windows) and opens in its own window.
Why install Swaddl?
Faster launch (no browser to open first), full-screen experience, and a permanent icon on your home screen so you don't lose the link. Your data, login, and notifications all stay the same — installing just changes how you open it.
